Vice Chancellor engages with Faculty of Business and Management Science on Strategic Goals and Challenges

The Faculty of Business and Management Science witnessed a pivotal moment on March 20th, 2025, as faculty and staff convened with the esteemed Vice Chancellor Prof. Pauline Byakika-Kibwika to foster a stronger connection and address key issues impacting the faculty’s trajectory.

The meeting, held in the on of the lecture rooms at the Faculty,  was meticulously moderated by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Frederick Nsambu Kijjambu. Dr. Kijjambu skillfully guided the proceedings, ensuring a comprehensive overview of the faculty’s current standing, its ambitious goals, notable achievements, and the challenges it faces.

Presentations highlighted the faculty’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. The faculty’s achievements were showcased, demonstrating its significant contribution to the University’s overall mission. Furthermore, the faculty outlined its strategic plans for future growth, including expanding postgraduate programs, strengthening industry partnerships, establishing research centers.

The Vice Chancellor listened attentively, acknowledging the faculty’s dedication and impressive accomplishments. In response to the presented challenges, she offered practical solutions and insightful perspectives. Recognizing the importance of addressing systemic issues, she pledged to engage with the university management to find sustainable resolutions.

“Your faculty’s dedication to shaping future business leaders and contributing to impactful research is truly commendable,” the Vice Chancellor remarked. “I am committed to providing the necessary support to ensure your ambitious plans come to fruition. Open communication and continuous engagement are crucial for our collective success.”

She further encouraged the faculty to maintain its momentum and emphasized the importance of collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders. “Let us work together to build a robust and dynamic Faculty of Business and Management Science that stands as a beacon of excellence,” she added.

The Deputy Dean, Dr. John Kule, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing the faculty’s gratitude for the Vice Chancellor’s presence and engagement.

“We are deeply appreciative of your time and your insightful responses,” Dr. Kule stated. “Your commitment to our faculty’s success is truly inspiring, and we are confident that your support will empower us to achieve our goals. We look forward to a continued partnership built on mutual respect and collaboration.”

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both the faculty and the Vice Chancellor expressing a shared commitment to fostering a thriving academic environment. The engagement underscored the importance of open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving in advancing the university’s mission and ensuring the continued success of the Faculty of Business and Management Science.
