The 16 Days of Activism Campaign at MUST

Every year, from the 25th of November to the 10th of December, millions of people around the world join hands to talk against gender-based violence and promote a world where women and girls (all human beings) are safe and their rights are respected.

Activism to end violence against women and girls captures the very essence of this campaign: the need to come together to end violence against women and girls, break the silence on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and end the stigma on survivors.

As the world comes together to unite against GBV, every person is encouraged to be a part of this campaign. On social media, one can create awareness about the campaign and the plight of women and girls, especially in underserved communities.

Another way to contribute towards elimination of gender-based violence in our society is to not cover up rapists or sexual and other offenders whether they are your relatives or friends. We cannot end GBV if you look away or cover up abusers.

As a member of the MUST community, join the campaign today and help the world get rid of gender-based violence in our community and the communities around us.

This 16 Days, everyone is encouraged to get involved: from amplifying the voices of survivors and activists to supporting women’s organizations and strengthening feminist movements, we can all act to empower survivors, reduce and prevent violence against women and girls, and protect women’s rights.

MUST has partnered with EYIT TV to record a series of videos and interviews that will be shared on our social media platforms to commemorate the 16 days.

“Gender equality is not a woman’s issue but rather a human issue.”
