“I want to begin by congratulating MUST community and the country as a whole for the 33 years of existence of MUST”. We pay tribute to the people who conceptualized the idea of having a University in Mbarara most especially H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the founding Vice Chancellor. For the last 33 years, the University has become a destination of international students from all over the world and has also built capacity of staff. Eight years ago, the University initiated the actualization of Kihumuro main campus which has now made us a true University of Science and Technology. The university has grown due to the support of council chaired by Dr. Warren Namara, his deputy Counsel Sarah Nacho and other council members.

Moving forward, the University wants to be the leading institution in terms of research and winning grants.  Succeed we Must”

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance and Administration.

“When the University started, it was a small institution, the pioneer staff did a lot in terms of putting everything together.  MUST was able to grow amidst challenges because of the pioneer Vice Chancellor who was very hard working and guided every staff member to ensure the University starts and grows well.

At that time, the University focused on putting Academic and Financial management systems. This enabled rapid enrollment and infrastructure growth.

I would like to thank the partners both locally and internationally for supporting the University including the Government of Uganda. Succeed we MUST”
