Dear Students, Staff, Partners, Collaborators, and Esteemed Stakeholders,
As we welcome the New Year 2025, I wish to take a moment to reflect on our journey and express my sincere gratitude to each of you who has played a vital role in the success of Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Government of Uganda for the unwavering support provided to us as a public university. Special acknowledgment goes to the Fountain of Honor, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, and Maama Janet Kataaha Museveni, the Minister of Education and Sports. Your dedication to enhancing education in our country is a beacon of hope and progress for our institution.
I want to express my appreciation to the University Council, led by Dr. Warren Naamara. Your leadership and vision have been crucial in guiding our university towards excellence and innovation.
To our remarkable students, dedicated staff, and esteemed partners and collaborators, thank you for your hard work, resilience, and commitment. Together, we have overcome challenges and celebrated achievements, and I am confident that our collective efforts will continue to drive us forward in the coming year.
As we embark on this new chapter in 2025, let us be motivated to work under the theme: ” New Beginnings for a Sustainable Future”. This will guide us all through the year.
Let us pledge to support one another and strive for greater heights. May this year bring us prosperity, growth, and success in all our endeavors.
