MUST STUDENT SCOOPS A UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY WINTER 2021 GLOBAL COMMUNITY CHALLENGE OPPORTUNITY

Our very own Ms. Edivah Asingwire who has graduated in Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Faculty of Business and Management Sciences participated in the recently finalized University of Calgary Community Challenge.

The Global Community Challenge YYC creates opportunities for students to work in cross-cultural and cross disciplinary teams with students from our international partner universities to identify solutions for issues faced by organizations in Calgary (YYC). The opportunity builds intercultural capacity and positions students to become an innovative catalyst for change.

Ms. Asingwire a MUST Business Incubation Clinic (BIC) graduate was successfully selected among over 200 applicants received globally to compete in this challenge.  A total of 24 teams with only two universities from Africa participated. Final presentations can be viewed here. The next challenge will be held in the fall of 2021.

Appreciation goes to the Faculty of Business and Management Science(FOBMS) Dean, BIC coordinator Mr. John Baguma Kule and BIC mentors Dr. Sarah Nabachwa, Mr. Geoffrey Bwire and Mr. Bernard Kakuhikire for mentoring innovators in BIC.
