MUST Holds her 1st Prayer Breakfast

The MUST Community held the 1st ever prayer breakfast with the theme “New Beginnings”. Students and staff converged at the histology quadrangle to dedicate the university to the almighty.

Guest speakers included Sheikh Hajji Abdu Mohammad Mukwaya-the Mbarara District Khadi, Fr. Bonniveture Turyomumazima the Chancellor Mbarara Archdiocese and the main speaker Rt. Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe-the Bishop of South Ankole Diocese (Kyamaate) Ntungamo. They all thanked the university administration for the thoughtfulness of the event. They urged the Students and Staff were urged to always pray no matter the situation and also pray for others for it calls for God’s blessing. He also called upon everyone in the congregation to always be real and sincere in everything that they do. For sincerity yields purity which in turn yields happiness. He urged the congregation to always build teams and support one another. In his words, Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe said that leaders should always protect those they lead, wish others well, not to live in guilt and avoid anger. He said that leadership is responsibility.

Bishop Ahimbisibwe ended with the day’s food for thought that goes “if you want to sit under a good tree in your old age, plant it today/now”.

The Vice Chancellor thanked the preachers for the enriching words and urged the staff and students to critically put in action the words of wisdom by the preachers. Him as the VC promised to try and be the “Turkey” Gobbler. He thanked the brains behind the entire event, and encouraged its continuity.
