Mbarara University of Science and Technology held its 15th Annual Research Dissemination Conference on Friday, 22nd November 2019 at Igongo Cultural Centre, Mbarara.
The conference was held under theme- “Collaborative Transformational Research for Sustainable Development” and further broken down into 10 Sub-themes.
The Opening session of the conference was presided over by the Chairperson of the University Council, Dr. Warren Naamara, the session was also addressed by the Keynote speaker of the day, Prof. Charles Kwesiga, the Executive Director of the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI). Other guest speakers included Prof. John Chinyere Aguiyi, Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Jos, Plateau State Nigeria and Dr. Lawrence Eron, a Senior Lecturer in Special Needs and Inclusive Education at Kyambogo.
Over 100 papers were presented by researchers at the day-long conference.
