MUST and Partners Win 5-Year D43 NIH Grant to Advance Tuberculosis Research in Uganda

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Obua Celestino and Dr. Angella Musiimenta are part of the recently won 5year D43 NIH grant entitledDigital Mobile Technologies to Study Tuberculosis: A Multidisciplinary Program.

The project based at the University of Georgia, US, and Makerere University-Uganda, aims to develop a training program in digital mobile technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to strengthen tuberculosis (TB) and public health research capacity in Uganda.

The training program will offer pre-doctoral, master, and annual recess-term courses to those interested in deepening their knowledge and furthering their research capabilities in the field. Adverts for the training opportunities will be released soon. We encourage all those who want to learn about digital mobile technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to apply when the training opportunities are advertised to further strengthen their research capacity and deepen their expertise in the field of mobile technology and TB prevention.
