The Faculty of Medicine, Mbarara University of Science and Technology hosted its premier White Coat Ceremony on Thursday October 18th, 2018 at the Mbarara Town Campus grounds
The White Coat Ceremony, the first in its category in Uganda, marked the entry of the matriculating class of 2018 into the pioneer Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy degree program here at MUST.
This induction ceremony helps first-year Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy degree students gain a sense of the program’s core values of professionalism, respect, integrity and care.
During the ceremony, students were cloaked in their first white coats, as students of the program, as a symbol of the trust being bestowed upon them to carry on the noble tradition of patient-centered care. Thereafter the students took an Oath and pledged allegiance to the profession, thereby deepening their sense of obligation and dedication to service.
