Faculty of Business and Management Sciences advances in student exchanges

The partnership between MUST and Hochschule Mainz University of Applied sciences in Germany provides a favourable platform that enables MUST students to travel to Germany for student exchange. This September 2023, three students will travel for five months to Hochschule Mainz for an international elective semester in Masters in Business Administration (MBA). The student exchanges enhance global business skills, multi cultural exposure and networking.

Since 2017, Dr. Frederick Nsambu Kijjambu, Dean Faculty of Business and Management Sciences has been at the forefront of coordinating the exchanges that have enabled international exposure to staff and students in FBMS funded by Erasmus + programme. The Faculty is developing a double degree program with Hochschule Mainz led by Dr. Frederick Nsambu Kijjambu, Dr. Sarah Nabachwa, Dr. Baguma Kule, Mr. Arthur Mugisha, Mr. Asaph Katarangi and Mr. John Bosco Sendiyova.

In the recent cohort to travel for the student exchange programme, were four students of MBA; Ms. Agatha Kirabo, Mr. Akampurira Ambrose, Ms. Illuminate Orikiriza, and Ms. Linus Atugonza who stayed in Hochschule Mainz, Germany for five months. “The learning process was transformational and a great international experience. The university encourages self study, preparation, active participation, teamwork, innovation and public speaking. Topics were dissected and practical experiences never fell short, which exposed us to wider knowledge tailored to our different fields Accounting, Procurement and Marketing” said Ms. Agatha.
