CNOOC Visits Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Uganda Limited, on 17th March 2022 paid a visit to MUST’s Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (MUST). The visit was aimed at paving the way for future collaboration in the different fields of engineering.
CNOOC Uganda, an oil and gas company, recently signed a Final Investment Decision (FID) with the Government of Uganda committing to the King Fisher Oil Production project in the Lake Albert area of Western Uganda. The project expects to produce 4,000 barrels of oil per day at peak production.
The CNOOC team visit to MUST was led by Mr. Wang Jufeng, the Vice President CNOOC and included the following;
  • Mr. Sun Yingzhe – Head of Production Engineering Department
  • Mr. Gao Qiang – HR Consultant
  • Ms. Yvette Muyingo – Head of HR Department
  • Ms. Shifra Nankunda – Training and Development Manager
  • Mr. Francis Egadu – Training and Development Coordinator.
On hand to receive CNOOC at MUST was the Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academic Affairs, Prof. Nixon Kamukama, Dean Emeritus of the Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology, Dr. Eng. Theodora Twongyirwe alongside academic and administrative staff of the Faculty.
