Graduate Research Supervision and Mentorship in Southwestern Ugandan Universities (GRSAMU)

 Mbarara University of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Academics Without Boards-AWB (www.awb-usf.org), a Canadian nonprofit organization to  undertake a number of activities in the area of higher education.  In collaboration with the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies (FIS), Canadian Volunteers from the Universities of Saskatchewan, Toronto, Manitoba, and Alberta, AWB has supported the design and development of a short course in “Graduate Research Supervision and Mentorship”.

Call for participation

The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), invites applications form academic/teaching staff of private and public universities and campuses in Southwestern Uganda for an online/virtual short course on Graduate Research Supervision and Mentorship” to take place from 4th March to 11th April 2022. Online face to face sessions via zoom will be conducted weekly (every Monday from 17hrs-19hrs East Africa Standard Time). Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be awarded a certificate and admitted into a cohort of trainers of trainees in Graduate Research Supervision and Mentorship

 Application procedure

The application is to be submitted by fill in an online form on the link:

  • A cover letter that addresses the candidate’s motivation and suitability for the training,
  • A curriculum vita (not more than 5 pages).

 Participation in the course is free of charge. Participant slots for this training are capped; however female lecturers are strongly encouraged to apply.  Only successful participants will be contacted. For more information check: www.must.ac.ug
