A triumph for MUST Alumni: Leading the Uganda Association of Physiotherapy

On November 30, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved for Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) as seven of its esteemed alumni were elected to key positions within the Uganda Association of Physiotherapy (UAP). This remarkable achievement underscores the quality of education and training provided by MUST and the exceptional caliber of its graduates.

Atwongyeire Night, a 2018 cohort alumna, was elected as the new President of the UAP and will serve a four-year term. Nakaziba Mwajumah (2015), Namirimu Florence (2019), and Ankwasa Brendah (2012) were elected as Vice President, Secretary General, and Treasurer, respectively. Additionally, Mandella Nicholas (2017), Asiimwe Derrick (2018), and Kato Stephen (2021) secured positions as Regional Representatives for the East, West, and Central regions.
