MUST Prioritizes Student Well-being

Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) is actively committed to the holistic well-being of its students, focusing on sexual reproductive health, HIV/AIDS awareness, and effective drug management. The university is hosting an empowering session led by Ms. Jackie Nabimanya, Coordinator from the Dean of Students’ office, and a departmental Administrator.

The MUST PEER newsletter will cover crucial topics:

  • Navigating Relationships and Dating at Campus: Discussing healthy communication, consent, safe practices, and handling peer pressure.

  • Sexual Reproductive Health & HIV/AIDS Awareness: Providing comprehensive education on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention, stigma reduction, and access to services.

  • Managing Drug Issues at Campus: Addressing the risks of drug abuse, identifying warning signs, exploring coping mechanisms, and outlining university policies.

A highlight of the session will be the release of “MUST Peer Project Pulse Volume II,” a collection of insights from student peer educators. This initiative underscores MUST’s dedication to empowering students with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed decisions for a healthy and fulfilling campus life.
