Bachelor of Information Technology

About BIT program

Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) is hosted in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computing and Informatics Sciences, MUST. The program is a three (3) year full time study program, with each year having two semesters. It is a Day program and a student is allowed a maximum of five (5) years to complete this Program.  The program started in 2006 with the aim of meeting the ever-increasing demand for IT professionals. This first curriculum ran between 2006 – 2014. Given the dynamic nature of IT, it was evident that there was need for its review in order to match with the changing nature of IT, and to be able to keep abreast of changes in delivery systems and content knowledge of BIT. As of 2017, the running curriculum pioneers are in their Final(3rd) year. Our emphasize is on hand-on training; innovation; and a strong focus on the application of IT for community development.
