Lead by example: Prof. Pauline Byakika-Kibwika Honored among Top Global Health Leaders

The Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) community is celebrating a monumental achievement following the recognition of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pauline Byakika-Kibwika, as one of the Top Global Health Leaders under the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) programs.

Prof. Pauline as a mentor

Prof. Pauline’s career as a physician and infectious disease specialist embodies this mission. Her pioneering research into malaria treatment and the critical interactions between antimalarial and antiretroviral medicines provides the scientific evidence needed to strengthen healthcare systems across sub-Saharan Africa. By translating complex laboratory findings into life-saving clinical applications, she exemplifies how science and technology can be harnessed to serve the community.
