White Coat Ceremony: A Rite of Passage for New Medical Students

Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) is excited to announce the upcoming White Coat Ceremony for our new medical students. This significant event will mark the students’ official entry into the medical profession and symbolize their commitment to patient care and ethical practice.

 

Ceremony Highlights:

  • Presiding Officer: Associate Professor Joseph Ngonzi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine
  • Chief Guest: Professor Pauline Byakika-Kibwika the Vice Chancellor of MUST
  • Special Guest: Mugumya Timothy (Esq), Legal Office of MUST
  • Moderator: Angella Nakato Muyingo   University communications officer (PRO)

During the ceremony, medical students will:

  • Receive their white coats, a symbol of professionalism and responsibility.
  • Take the Hippocratic Oath, pledging to uphold ethical principles and patient well-being.
  • Be welcomed into the medical community by faculty members and esteemed guests.

We invite all faculty, staff, and students to join us in celebrating this important milestone.
