The Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST), in partnership with Mbarara University of Science and Technology, is convening a one-day participatory workshop to engage secondary school science leaders and early career researchers (Students and Lecturers) in shaping a National Governance Framework for Science Professionals in Uganda. This event also commemorates: International Day of Women and Girls in Science, International Women’s Day 2026
Goal: To create a participatory platform where students and early career researchers co-create a vision for how science professionals should be supported, mentored, recognized, and regulated in Uganda.
Theme: Co-Creating Priority Actions to Support the Governance of Science Professionals in Uganda.

Organized by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST)
Participation: learners for secondary and tertiary institutions, science teachers, trainers of science teachers, science faculty. (Participation is by invitation)
