Fellowship in Urogynaecology and Female Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery

Study time: Trainees shall come physically to MUST for two weeks of intensive clinical practical skills training every two months but the academic teaching will run continuously throughout the semesters using open distance E-learning (ODeL)approaches.

Entry Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission to the Fellowship in Urogynaecology programme are:

Ugandan students

  1. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes

  2. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 principal passes.

  3. A degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from an accredited degree awarding institution

  4. A degree in Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from an accredited degree awarding institution

  5. Minimum CGPA of 2.8

  6. Applicants should have documentary evidence of Internship Training indicating disciplines and dates

  7. Applicants should be registered or eligible for registration with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.

International students

Additionally, for international applicants:

  1. Applicants whose first language or medium of instruction is not English, must provide evidence from a recognized English language training institution that they have sufficient command of English language.

  2. Applicants should have their documents verified by NCHE.

  3. Applicants should have their first degree and master’s degree certificates and transcripts translated and converted into an equivalent of Ugandan Universities’ CGPA

  4. Applicants should have a certificate of good standing with the Medical Practitioners’ Council of the country of origin.
