Overview
This Grand round session with a title “The veiled side of Procedural Sedation” focusing on sedation safety and mishaps will be presented by the department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Mbarara University of Science and Technology and Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH).
Procedural Sedation transforms patients’ anxiety and pain into comfort. However, safety at all time is critical and MUST lead the way throughout the perioperative period. Be empowered to prevent disaster.
Target Audience:

Health care professionals involved in sedation of patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures which are either uncomfortable or painful or both in the following settings: Emergency department, operating rooms, dental clinics, radiology suits, high dependency units, oncology units as well as general wards.
