The University: Deputy Vice Chancellor

Assoc. P Pamela  Mbabazi :

Associate Professor Pamela Mbabazi is founder of the Faculty of Development Studies Mbarara University where she has served as Dean Faculty of Development since 1998.

Dr. Mbabazi who holds a PhD and MA in Development Studies and a Master of Science degree in Regional Planning and Management is  a seasoned researcher and articulate  presenter of research findings. Dr. Mbabazi  is  also an  excellent  discussant at national and international conferences.

With over 15 years of  experience in teaching, Dr. Mbabazi is an expert    in curriculum design, Development Planning, Rural Development, Political Economy and Conflict Studies.

Dr. Mbabazi has championed in the  fundraising drive  towards the development of Faculty of Development Studies. 

Dr. Mbabazi has published  in renowned international journals.  She is also the President and  Executive Chair of Uganda Development Studies Association.
