Explore America’s Training Opportunities

America’s Ambassador to Uganda Jerry P. Lanier has encouraged Ugandans to explore America’s vast training opportunities. Lanier made these remarks while addressing prospective students on Wednesday 7, July 2010 in the American Centre at the University. 

 
“Pursuing higher education is a challenge of many people across the globe. I encourage you to take advantage of the training opportunities in the United States of America” Lanier said.

He said the American Centre at Mbarara University of Science and Technology was established to help Ugandans assess information on the various training opportunities available in the United States of America. He said, the services provided by the  centre will also make significant contributions towards  widening students perspectives. He commended the University for supporting Uganda’s graduates to attain higher education.

The centre which, serves as an advisory base in the western region receives 20 students from various schools every week. The Medical School through partnership with the American Government is already  benefitting through an exchange program.
