MUST Researchers are Global Health Seed Grant Recipients

Congratulations to Faculty of Medicine researchers who are co-investigators on projects recently awarded a global health seed grant from the University of Minnesota. Joel Bazira  will be studying leptospirosis-associated neonatal sepsis with University of Minnesota researchers Claudia Munoz-Zanzi (School of Public Health) and Mark Schleiss (Center for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Translational Research).  Simon Arunga and Conrad K. Muzoora’s project will focus on improving eye health in patients with cryptococcal meningitis and systemic cytomegalovirus infections along with University of Minnesota researchers Sandra R. Montezuma (Medical School) and David Boulware (Medical School). Learn more about these seed grants that support partnerships between faculty from the University of Minnesota and institutions in Uganda, pursuing global health research.
