Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a Master of Public Health programme with a focus on Research Ethics, offered at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Department of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine. The programme has two (2) available scholarships sponsored by The Mbarara University Research Ethics Education Program (MUREEP) with funding from Fogarty International Centre - National Institutes of Health (USA).

Course Duration is 2 Years.

Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) on 15th May 2018 launched the Mbarara University Research Ethics Education Program (MUREEP). The program seeks to support training and mentoring activities to foster the growth of socially and culturally sensitive research ethics knowledge and skills at MUST and the surrpunding region. It is a collaboration between MUST and Case Western Reserve University (USA) for training and mentoring Ugandan researchers to be the next generation of leaders in research ethics.

Prof. Celestino Obua Receives Golden Jubilee Award

The Vice Chancellor of Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Prof. Celestino Obua on 1st May 2018 recieved the Golden Jubilee Award from the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. This was during the International Labour Day celebrations in Sembabule District.

Prof. Obua was recognized for his outstanding service in university education and scientific research in Uganda.

The Department of Biomedical Sciences & Engineering, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), in collaboration with The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), Delft University of Technology (TUDelft), and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) is implementing a low field MRI technology suitable for low resource settings. We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Graduate Research Assistant to be based at MUST. The position comes with a Ph.D scholarship tenable at MUST.
