Associate Professor Vincent Batwala holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) and a PhD in Public Health (Makerere University). In Feb. 2012, he won the “Award for Excellence in Research and Publication” at MUST. In same year, he won the Fogarty Research Scholar Award from Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA. In Feb. 2014, he received an “Honor of Best Researcher” in the Faculty of Medicine, MUST. He holds a “Service Honor” from African Union. He has supervised masters students in the fields of Public Health and Community Practice/Family Medicine at MUST, Makerere University School of Public Health and Lund University in Sweden. Currently, he is supervising 3 PhD students (all MUST staff) and 5 MPH students at MUST.
